    At the recent Creative Commons Summit in Lisbon, I tuned in to all sorts of insight from all sorts of people. But one of my favourite morsels of wisdom was this off-the-cuff comment by Dr. Doug Belshaw, which should serve as hearty wisdom for all future conference organisation teams.

    But maybe these words were simply a metaphor for the rich choice of contributions? Who knows…

    My brother often corrects my grammar. It’s as easy to get it right as to get it wrong… he would say. Even though I find this mildly irritating, especially as he’s my younger sibling, he’s quite right – and secretly I upgrade my grammar without giving him any satisfaction, only to knowledgeably correct others on the same point.

    So this thinkery about Creative Commons attribution might feel mildly annoying, but when it comes to attributing an author or creator for something you get to use for free, I think it’s worth the secret upgrade…

    My Workspace

    Whilst slacking in the Creative Commons Slack channel, a few people were sharing their remote working setups (or for distributed organisations, their normal working setup). So I thought I’d create a quick sketch of mine. On reflection, I seem to have acquired a few boards: White, Chopping and Dart. The Chopping board has been one of the best work-hacks I’ve discovered (costing all of £8 from IKEA). It allows be to work at an angle to my desk, giving me more leg room, a healthier posture, and works a treat with an apple wireless keyboard hooked on the top of the board.
