Happy Birthday Wikipedia – I’ve always been a fan!

Knowledge curated by humans that I’ve been dipping into and learning from since it was born.

In one of my braver moments, supported by a University initiative in the U.S. called the e-granary, I took an scraped offline version of Wikipedia (it was much smaller back in 2005) and installed it on the Local Area Network of a school on the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. The internet wouldn’t reach this school until some time later…
